About Axley & Rode

Our History

Axley & Rode was founded in 1949 by Branch L. Axley and Carl F. Rode. What started as one downtown Lufkin office has become a firm with four locations, thirteen partners, and over ninety-five personnel, including twenty-three CPAs. As we've grown, we opened additional offices in Nacogdoches, Jasper, and Livingston, Texas.

We have a long tradition of proudly serving East Texas businesses, governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, and individuals in various industries across the United States and other countries by providing a range of accounting, tax, audit, and consulting services.

Axley & Rode began this firm with the idea that they wanted to be more than their client's accountant. The pair built the business on customer-focused, relationship-oriented services, building partnerships beneficial to both parties. Over seventy years later, that guiding principle still stands.
